Tenerife Reopening: More Property Sales and Court Submissions

Tenerife Reopening: More Property Sales and Court Submissions

The fantastic news for the Canary Islands is that the Coronavirus outbreak is already coming under control, with only a few new cases reported each day, and some islands being completely free of active cases.

The Nordic Consulting has been working full pace throughout the pandemic, preparing court case files. Now our lawyers are again able to lodge these new lawsuits with the courts in Tenerife – both the local courts in Arona and the Mercantile Court in Santa Cruz. In addition, notaries and public offices are functioning again, meaning that little-by-little business is returning to normal.

Congratulations to our clients who sold their Beverly Hill Club Properties

We want to take this opportunity to congratulate the owners that have managed to liquidate their property investments in these difficult market conditions.  We do not know of any other apartments with rental contracts in the complex that have been sold until now. In fact, the local notary in Los Cristianos informs us that out of only nine property sales that he signed in April, eight were sales in Beverly Hills Club organised by The Nordic Consulting.

The reality is that the property market is likely to remain depressed until the islands are open to tourists and foreign investors again. However, in the meantime there is still demand from investors who are looking to buy properties at discounted prices to hold for the long term.

If you want to sell a property in Tenerife feel free to contact us for a valuation and to talk through the option to sell your apartment already to one of the investors we represent.
